I released my 3 "butterflies" tonight. A bittersweet moment!

Kid's Castle Playground!

Today's field trip to Kid's Castle playground was our last adventure as a Kindergarten class. Kid's Castle is seriously one of the coolest playgrounds ever! So many fun passageways, mazes and slides through this wooden castle. It was a great way to end the school year! 2 more days till Graduation! :-)

A Class Picture

Today my kiddos finished their last Kindergarten papers! In just a few days, they will be graduating into 1st grade. This year has been such an adventure that seems to have flown by so quickly! These 3 have taught me a lot this past year, and I am so glad I got to be their teacher. :-)

Clean Up Time in the Classroom

My kiddos spent some time cleaning out their desks today. However, what they were most excited about was being able to clean our big chalkboard! They did quite the thorough job!

First Day of Kindergarten {vs} Last Day of Kindergarten!

Looking through pictures, I realized that I was wearing the same outfit on the last day of school that I did on the first day of school! I thought it would be fun to try and recreate our first class picture together. :-)

Some similarities...some differences!

Our Caterpillar to Butterfly Journey

About a month ago 5 tiny caterpillars arrived in our classroom. We enjoyed watching them grow bigger every day!

About a week or so after they arrived, our very hungry caterpillars got super "sleepy" and entered into the chrysalis stage...

After what seemed like FOREVER (about 1 1/2 weeks) our first Painted Lady emerged from her chrysalis. We were so excited to meet her!!

It was fun to watch our butterflies fluttering about their "house" for a few days!

Today was a bittersweet day. It was time to let our butterfly friends go. The day was warm and sunny so we knew it was the right time. We opened up the zipper, and with only a little encouragement our butterfly friends flew off to new adventures. They were quite anxious to get started on their new journey, so we were a little disappointed they didn't stick around very long. However, as much as we are going to miss watching them fluttering about their home in our classroom, we know they are probably a lot happier to be free!

Happy Mother's Day!

I am like a flower that is raised with love by you.
You help me grow up big and strong,
THANKS, Mom, for all you do!
