Christmas Trees!

We have been busy getting our classroom all decorated for Christmas! Last week we worked on our Christmas trees.

The first step was to paint the trees.

The second step was to paint the ornaments.

Finally we were able to finish our project by gluing the ornaments on our trees.

Our Christmas trees are now all over the room, making our classroom look quite festive!

Thanksgiving Party

We started off the day with a "Turkey Hunt" at school, and then rode on the bus to Mrs. Hammett's house for our Thanksgiving party.

We played a fun game called "Turkey, Turkey, Who's Got the Turkey?" Everyone had to sit in a circle and pass around some leaves and a turkey. The person in the middle had to guess who had the turkey!

Miss Follett read about the First Thanksgiving, and then we made Thanksgiving story bracelets. {Each bead stands for a different part of the Thanksgiving story.}

Getting ready to add the beads to our Thanksgiving story bracelets.

We decorated cupcakes to look like turkeys!

Roadside America & Alayna's House

Last Wednesday we went to Roadside America Miniature Village. We got to see miniature trains, cars, trolleys, little towns, forests, mountains, airplanes and much more! The best part is seeing the night time program where the "sun" goes down and all the lights in the villages come on. "God Bless America" is played during that time. Also as is tradition, we had to get a picture with "Ma and Pa" who are nearby. After we were done there, we went to my sister's house for lunch and some play time with her cats and new puppy, Harvey. It was a fun-filled day!

A Visit to the Fire Station

Yesterday we visited our local fire station. We learned about fire safety and much more!

We saw a fireman get dressed up in all his gear.

We got to explore an ambulance (Let's hope this is the only time Robby is on that stretcher!)

We learned about the different fire trucks and what they carry.

We even got to use a fire hose!!!!

We had fun climbing through a fire truck!
