One of my favorite activities in the fall is baking caramel stuffed apple cider cookies with my class. Because I have done this particular recipe so many times, I have thankfully figured out a pretty organized way to make this an enjoyable experience for all of us! :-)
Adding our first 2 ingredients - butter and sugar
This recipe calls for 3 cups of flour which works out perfectly for my little class of 3!
We enjoyed mixing all the ingredients together with the mixer!! One girl would hold the mixer, while the next girl in line would spoon some of the flour mixture into the bowl. It was a great lesson in taking turns. :-)
When we were done mixing the dough, we put it in the refrigerator for an hour so it wouldn't be quite so sticky to roll out :-)
Another fun step was unwrapping all the caramels that would go in the center of our cookies!
Very proud of our first rolled out cookie!
Our cookies are ready for the oven!
Our cookies - fresh out of the oven - were a little warm and gooey, but we enjoyed sampling them before we took the rest home to our family!
