Fish Hatchery

On Friday we went to the Fish Hatchery!  We got to feed some VERY hungry fish, and then we got to go on a nature hike. It was a beautiful day to be outside!

Ice Cube "Painting"

We experimented with ice cubes and Jell-O powder today. What would happen to the powder as the ice cube melted? It was considered a "painting" activity, but it really wasn't about the end product at all. They just enjoyed watching the melting process, and seeing the affect it had on the Jell-O powder they had sprinkled (errr...dumped) on their paper.

And yes, I once again underestimated the messiness of the project! Thankfully, I decided to do it upstairs in the lunchroom where there was a sink nearby for sticky hands. :-)

We decorated picture frames for our Mommies and Daddies this past week for Valentine's Day!

A Messy Classroom = Kids Are Having A Blast!

This past week was a week for messes! On Wednesday, these two cute little rascals decided to turn the classroom into a battleground for their little army men.

The battles were rough!

The kids were getting sad that the snow outside was melting, so I decided it would be a great day to bring out the Insta Snow (just add water to powder and it turns into a "snow")

 

I tried to have them keep the "snow" on the yellow plastic tablecloth I laid out on the floor. Hahahaha! Well, that didn't happen ;-)

Play can definitely be quite messy at this age, but I have so much fun watching them have so much fun. Although I may dread the clean up, it is worth it in the end! ;-)
