Applesauce Day!

We made applesauce today! Although the process was a lot of fun, our favorite part was serving the applesauce to our friends at our "Applesauce Restaurant" at the end of the day. Everyone really enjoyed the yummy treat, and we learned how much fun it can be to share!

Puffy Paint Pumpkins!

How do you make puffy paint pumpkins?!

Well, first you mix together shaving cream and liquid glue.....

Then you add red and yellow food coloring and mix the colors together 

until you get the exact orange you want!

Why don't we make the puffy paint smell good?! Let's add pumpkin pie spice!!!

Now let's use our puffy paint to make a pumpkin!!

Let the pumpkins dry out over the weekend, add a stem and a vine, 

and we are ready to pose with our pumpkins!!

The girls wanted to practice their picture taking skills, so Miss Follett got to be in some pictures!!

Fire Safety Day!

Today we got to explore a fire truck, learn about fire fighters & fire safety tips, and of course, visit with Smokey Bear! It was a fun afternoon learning about one of our important community helpers. We are so thankful for the fire fighters who do their best to keep us safe!

Caramel Stuffed Apple Cider Cookies!

Today marked the 5th year I have baked these cookies with my Kindergarten class. This activity has definitely become one of my favorite fall traditions! 

Painting Fall Trees

This past week we painted fall trees! We used Q-tip bunches to paint the grass and fall leaves. The girls were very focused little painters. :-) We are ready to see all the trees outside change to fall colors!!

Grim's Greenhouse

We had so much fun at Grim's Greenhouse on Friday! We went on a wagon ride around the apple orchards. Then we played in a really fun play area. The girls' favorite activities were the caterpillar slide and the duck water races! After that we went through a corn maze and visited the animals. Before we left we got to pick a pumpkin to take home with us. :-) It was a beautiful fall day for our field trip!!
